William J. Parker starts out Shadowmen with a muffled, smokey atmosphere on “Rope Around My Neck,” and though only a minute and a half, one can’t help but picture him playing amongst the simple recording equipment in his bedroom, accompanied by an acoustic guitar, chilly digital reverb, as well as the hues of '70s acid folk & acoustic blues.
