"Tainted' is the third and possibly final installment in the Man from Atlantis and the Moon of Deliverance ‘heavy experimental psych' series. Tainted follows 2021’s Morning is Broken / Bad Trip at Burning Ghat and the suitably warped Kali Ma Rama Lama Fi Fo Fi Fum released on the UK label Misophonia.

While the entirety of these recording were written and recorded during Melbourne’s '20 - ’22 lockdown period (the longest of any country in the world), drums by Simo Laihonen and Larry de Zoeta on This Portal’s Sold Separately, Short Sighted and Forrest of Sword-blade Trees were added in 2023 and 2024.

Tainted is chocked full of lengthy experimental psych jams - songs of contemplation, introspection, despair… elation even!

All are over ten minutes bar one and three tracks are over 15 minutes and draw on krautrock-spacerock, free improv, punk, heavy psych / noise, doom and free-funk.

There is a lightness that outweighs the darkness that’s often not easy to recognise and locate - I was able to find that light on several occasions during these sessions. I hope you enjoy."
