By September 1962, Julian "Cannonball" Adderley had become a highly successful jazz leader. Jazz Workshop Revisited, as its title indicates, wasn't the saxophonist's first live album nor his first LP recorded at that venue. Cannonball's first official live album was also taped at San Francisco's Jazz Workshop in October 1959. Features Julian "Cannonball" Adderley (alto sax), Nat Adderley (cornet), Yusef Lateef (tenor sax, flute, oboe), Joe Zawinul (piano), Sam Jones (bass), and Louis Hayes (drums).
