Constructed and recorded during the darkest hours of the Covid pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns, New Common Era is the debut album from Secret Teeth; the project of Nashville, Tennessee artist Blake Edward Conley (Droneroom) and Melbourne, Australia artist Mike Sill (the Man from Atlantis).

With Blake and Mike both sharing a pathological appreciation of loud and distorted guitar soundscapes, the tracks on New Common Era came together quite seamlessly with acoustic guitars gently picked over the unsettling drone of electric guitars.

At its heart New Common Era is a brooding ambient drone, cinematic soundscape and while at times sounding like a post-apocalyptic soundtrack, it contains moments of genuine light and fragility.
