Remien Vigilia is an album by Worthing, West Sussex UK, artist Linden Pomeroy, recorded in July 2022. Back porch style acoustic guitar, just 6 and 12 thundering strings.

If the blues is a river where themes are borrowed from and re contextualised - Remien Vigilia takes it in ‘to the point’ Primitive fashion. Inspired by the folklore and landscape of the South Downs near his home, much of it was written in a short bout giving a sense of urgency throughout.

Crystalline forms are explored with droning alternating bass, ragtime syncopation and delicate refrains - evoking the wildflowers and chalk cliffs. Linden’s approach to playing is through visualisation, using each tuning as a different pallet - colours and imagery come to mind throughout. His background in experimental music is at play here too; with plenty of playful lurching and tasteful dissonance thrown into his fingerpicking in the spirit of Fahey, Basho or Sun City Girls raga like free folk.
